Do your homework...

Ever since I made the decision to launch my label, I have been doing excessive homework.  I believe that you can NEVER know too much of anything, especially when it pertains to running a successful business! In the past week I have been absorbing as much knowledge as possible to assist me when writing my business plan, and to follow through with the plans I set out for my company.

I wanted to share a couple of books I read that I thought were actually really insightful pertaining to the fashion business.

Also...I stumbled upon The Fashion Fund, which gives you a glance into the lives of up & coming fashion labels that are on the quest to win the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award. One winner receives $300,000.00 for their label and a mentorship with a fashion veteran, and two win $50,000.00 and a mentorship. I love watching things like this...it's so inspiring and interesting to see how different each artist creates and runs their operations.
