Life Lessons + Growth...

The world around us is our university. Everybody is a teacher & every day we experience life, it is a class in itself that I believe we learn from. Whether we learn something new about ourselves, or someone else. Maybe a fact we didn't know, or a new way of thinking that we just never thought in that manner before...it's all about learning and progressing to be the best that we can be.

There is not a day that has gone by that I am not challenged in some way or another. Sometimes, it seems impossible to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Other times, I feel so damn optimistic that nothing in this world can get me down...but it fluctuates constantly. I'm not sure if God is preparing me for something big {I have put my life and faith in his hands}, but all I can say is that whatever it is that I am meant to be and do, I am ready for...whole heartily.  I am always examining myself. Am I the best that I can be? Can I do better? I mean we all have room for improvement, right? I feel like I do things in the manner of what God would want me to do yet I'm still challenged?

For those of you are feeling similar or have those same exact thoughts, there were a couple of things I heard in church and on Oprah's Life Class that gave me a new perspective that I wanted to share with you.

  • Life doesn't happen to us, but for us. Everything in life happens for us to learn and grow from. If you're not learning from it, chances are you're not progressing to your fullest potential.

  • Trust yourself, you know more than you think you do.

  • You get what you tolerate.

  • The positive thinker sees the invisible, feels the intangible, and achieves the impossible.

  • You can be the best you, or a mediocre pretend version of someone else.

  • Change your expectations for appreciation.

For a challenging month like this, or better yet a year like the one I have been dealt, I try to look at the glass have full instead of half empty. Being grateful for everything that God has bestowed upon me. All the good and the bad for I have faith that it's all part of the bigger plan that is preparing me for what is yet to come.

How do you handle struggles? Have you learned something new that has given you a new found positive perspective? I would love to hear it!

P.S. Our life and our positive universe is all in our hands! xx- T
